We decided to stay home and get a few things done around the house for memorial weekend. We put on the final coat of paint downstairs and cleaned the whole basememnt (I'm pretty sure we defeated the bug battle down there), installed the AC units, deep cleaned the house, put up a hammock (I'm in love), went garaged sale hunting (found a free car seat and a shredder) and went to some fun BBQ's. Let's be honest, the only thing I did on that list was clean, Dev is amazing! The picture above is of the first year guys at the Westovers' (delicious) Sundaes on Sunday.
This weekend we went to Cincinnati to visit Nan and Keith (Dev's aunt and uncle). It was so fun. We went to King's Island. They have a new ride called the Diamond Back. It goes 86 miles per hour and is really long.

This is a picture of Dev and family on the Death Drop.
Needless to say, although I couldn't go on any ride that had a seat belt (kiddie land included) I did eat some of the best food I've ever had, probably gained about 10 lbs and got some great sun! Ya, not ideal.....we will definitely be returning after this child arrives so I can experience the Diamond Back!
We did get caught in a tornado. It touched down about 45 minutes away and after the sirens went off in the town, we had to take our pool party downstairs and play the Wii! Yes, that bowling score says 254!! Go Nan!
I tried to get some sympathy and called my mom, but she told me to get the camera, get in the car, and start a new show called the pregnant tornado watchers. Thank you Nan and Keith for an amazing weekend! Cincinnati is defiantly one of our favorite get aways!
This week is orientation for the new incoming students. It is kind of surreal. A...I hope I never have to go through that again, and B...I can't believe it has been a year. We are second years now! Some of Dev's friends are moving in the next few weeks to start grad school and we are so excited for them! Good luck guys!
