Conference Weekend

Well maybe it was the candy, great food, games, apostle name challenge, or the memories but conference weekend is a big deal to me and I look forward to it for 6 months! So I decided to start a few traditions for our little family! I want to make conference weekend a weekend of amazing food! I also want to make some really fun outing memories in between sessions. So with our present budget, we did as best we could! We had quite the delux breakfasts, steaks, candy galore, etc.
We decided to take our Sat. lunch to Schenely Park yesterday in between conferences for our outing. It's so weird to have conference start at 12 and 4 and then priesthood at 8! I can't get use to it. But it did provide for the perfect sunny afternoon break in between sessions. Anyways we went to my favorite park and look out!

Then we found a monument and cool cabin that was made in the late 1700's.

Then we hiked under a huge bridge and Devin found his match! The largest rope swing I have ever seen in my life. The hill is so steep that you start off with butterflies at the top of the hill......

Then you push off and wonder what you got yourself into about now.....

Then you wish you hadn't......... but smile for the camera anyways!.......

And then you pee your pants right about now!!!! Dev was a good 50-60 feet in the air.

There was a huge line of Pitt students that were waiting their turn for the rope swing. You can barely see them at the top of the hill. You had to swear you wouldn't tell any cop where it was before you went!
Then if you keep going to the bottom there was a random oasis by the railroad.

Another very successful outing! The baby is doing great! She can open her eyes this week. She is 2 lbs and 15 inches long and can do somersaults at the expense of my comfort. Dev has one big test on Monday and then a two week break before finals. We are counting down the days till our Virginia Beach vacation in between semesters.
