One year older!

I turn 23 on Easter! I have had a great birthday already! I received really thoughtful gifts from family....thank you so much!!! Dev and I have started a tradition that the birthday King or Queen gets to do whatever they want for that weekend!
So first, I chose to go to a Good Friday Musical Concert Friday night. We had some friends that performed in it and they did a great job!!!!! There were some of the most talented professionals (violin, piano, and soprano) that were invited to join the stake LDS choir. Even Dev said it was pretty good. Then we went to the Olive Garden. And then Dev took me shopping for perfume, pink and black sunglasses (they are hot) and ............. my rocking chair!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember the 600$ chair I wanted, well it was very comfortable but..... it doesn't swivel, doesn't have pockets on the side, can't rock while reclining, couldn't hold its form, and could stain really easily. This one is only 160$ and does all of the above! It is also microfiber and just as comfortable! I love it! Thanks babe!
And the belly is just growing and growing! Baby Gneiting is 2 1/2 lbs, has developed her eye lashes and has blue eyes. She has also developed her birth hair....which would explain the sudden heart burn I have been feeling for the first time in my life. I have an ultra-sound next Friday to see her again.

One of our highlights this week was this 20+ lb box full of variety potatoes. We made three different kinds of mashed potatoes, (yellow, red, and deep purple!) that night. It was amazing! Thank you, thank you to Devin's Grandpa Walters for sending them. The "Idaho" potatoes just aren't the same in Pittsburgh!

Pittsburgh put on quite the funeral for the three officers that were shot last week. The story is so sad and the murders......such a waste. I saw the proceedings during my lunch break. 19,000 officers showed up from all over the country. Rumor has it there were over 1,000 cop cars. They were lined up bumper to bumper in three lanes for miles through the town. Every police car had just their lights on and everyone was silent as I walked to lunch. It was an amazing experience.

I had to take this picture! There was a street that was stacked with hundreds of police motorcycles. I watched these two "officers" get off their bikes and then stand like a 5 year old girl waving flags until the procession passed. They had to have been retired. It was quite humorous to imagine them as officers but really endearing to observe.

I have been blessed with the most amazing job! I am so lucky! I work on the 10th floor of the Cathedral on campus for the most intelligent and sweet man. He is the chair of the philosophy department and the money is so helpful right now. I do have to walk a mile a day but that is great exercise for me right now. I just walk really, really, really slow! Slow enough that I get looks when people pass me.....like I'm up to no good. Then they see the belly as they pass and look at me like they can catch me if my water-breaks!! Anyways it really makes the day go by so fast and it should last until the baby comes. You can see the three lanes of cop cars for the funeral.
