Crafts and Traditions

Okay I have been working on some cute crafts lately but I can't post about them until I give them away! So they will have to wait till next week but I thought I would post these really cute ideas. They are cute traditions that you can start with your families and share with your neighbors.

I have been "Boo'd" but never "Jingled" before. Go to this website and you can print off the poem and sign.
Even if you buy the treats it makes a great date or FHE with your spouse and or children. It also gives you a great excuse and idea to go visit your neighbors that you aren't too acquainted with.

Then second idea was my favorite. Find or buy a little basket and decorate it to the Christmas season. Then go to the store and get little Christmas odds and ends. You don't have to spend too much money for this tradition, go to the dollar store!!!! Here are some example: Christmas gift tags, brownie mix, candy canes, a Christmas ornament, etc.

Fill the basket full and then tie your Christmas card to the handle of the basket so that others will be able to untie and add their Holiday cards as well. Then write or type up a cute Christmas letter wishing your neighbors a wonderful Christmas. Instruct them that they can take one or more gifts out of the basket but as many as they take they replace and send on to the next neighbor. Also instruct them to add their own Holiday wishes and cards to the the handle for the next neighbor. At the bottom of your letter put the address of each neighbor next to the date that they are the receive the Christmas basket you can even make a map of when and where the basket will be traveling.
Place the letter in the front of the basket. Then at the end put your address so you can keep the basket for the next year and it will be fun to read all of the holiday wishes and cards from your neighborhood. I thought this was such a great idea to get to know your neighbors and to include everyone in your holiday wishes!

What are some traditions that you have started whether it is with your family or friends?
