Idaho and recent projects

We had quite the time getting to Idaho. Flights were cancelled for weather and maintenance and it ended up taking us 48 hours in airports and hotels. Delta did put us up in a nice hotel and paid for all of the food so that was nice. We had a 7 hour lay over in Minneapolis and decided to go to the Mall of America: the biggest mall ever (I would put money as the biggest in the world)! We had our luggage and a lady asked us if we missed our flights and started inquiring about where we were from and what our plans were. She then gave us two free passes to the Nickelodeon Amusement Park in the middle of the mall! We only got to 2 of the 4 floors but we definitely had our fair share of roller coasters. It was so fun. It was so nice of that lady. The tickets were at least 30 dollars a tickets and I hope that I can find a chance to do something nice to someone else this season.
So we are here in snow covered Eastern Idaho for Christmas. Here is a picture of our nephew Mason. Dev took the kids out for sleigh rids on the four-wheeler.

We went to the Idaho Falls Museum to see their Christmas display after a basketball game. I fell in love with one of the trees. It was a rustic crafty tree behind us in the picture. Don't you hate it when you can't get a craft or idea out of your mind!

I'm not going to lie one of the events I have been most excited for was Shantay's Christmas Party. Three of the couples are pregnant and they are all having girls! They looked so cute. It was so fun catching up with them and playing bingo. And, for the record, I voted for the Poulter's Ginger Bread House! Dev and I realized how much we missed our friends!

And Alicia blessed Zacharia Quinton on Sunday and we had a fun time seeing all of the family after. It has been party after party now.

Last night we had a white out blizzard coming home from New Dale. We have at least a foot of snow on the ground. The wind was so bad that foot high drifts would form on the freeway less than an hour after a snow plow came through. Dev has had a blast snowboarding, four wheeling, driving the back-hoe, going shooting and playing with the kids. I have been working on a few things to keep myself busy. I made some burp cloths and decorated a wipe container. I just fell in love with some of the Amy Butler material. Click on this Amy Butler link if you have never heard of it. It is so cute! I don't know if you have ever heard of File Folder Fun. But it is a really cute spiritual way to keep your kids busy during sacrament. Here is the File Folder Fun link that will explain and give some examples. You print off the books, color the pages and laminate the pages on Manila folders. You may also need some Velcro for some of the activities. It is taking me forever to color the pages but I think it is the cutest idea.
