Amish and a bunch of pitt stops!

This weekend has been amazing. It helps so much to have Devin home; I have had so much more sleep, having adult conversations, and just another person assisting in the feedings, diapers and what to do in situations. I am a great mom when he is around!

We had a BBQ this weekend to kick off summer for the students. It was really fun and Brynlee's de-bue. She was a champ.

We went for an outing on Saturday. The goal was to make it to the Amish country. We ended up doing a lot more and it was so fun! Once again Brynlee was great and gave us confidence in taking more trips like this. Here is what we accomplished:

We ate a hot dog at a cute park and watched a fishing competition.

We watched sail boats and wind surfing at a reservoir. We are definitely taking bikes back to this place. The path follows the shore line.

We shopped and ate at an Amish restaurant. I don't think it's a coincidence that Dev wanted to go this weekend - they were in the middle of harvest and it was pretty fascinating even to me to watch their process.

We found some great out-let malls at Grove City. It is so much more fun to shop for clothes now that I'm not trying to hide a huge 8 lbs belly! Then we stopped at a sky-diving center and watched people jump out and land. It was pretty tempting to just jump in the plane and do it right there! Some day. And finally, we found a Fair and fire-work show on our way home. It was pretty fun!

Today was Brynlee's first day at church. She is suppose to eat during the middle of church so it was a little stressful but she did well.

She is suppose to start coo-ing this week but Buddha has one too many chins and it just comes out as a constipated grunt. We are working on sounding a little more feminine! I had to take this picture too. If it isn't enough that she looks so much like Dev she is getting his red hair already. I can't believe how fast it is changing. I guess she still has a few weeks to loose this hair but it looks like it will be a beautiful dark red color so I hope she keeps it!

We also went for a little walk around South Side today and found a really great view.

She attracts quite the attetion still. Everyone wants to look and hold her! Even strangers....are you kidding me. This italian woman at the South Side was out of control, she wanted to hold her and me to nurse her in her house. Ya right. She was funny though.

Dev starts studying for the boards this week but it isn't nearly as intense and it will be so nice to have a husband! And I am going to work on going on walks!
