Note to self: I need to enjoy the present and not look forward to the next faze of my life so much.
Now life has completely changed. Here is a little look into the last few weeks:
I have never been so proud of 4 oz in my life! I think we have finally mastered feeding. It was touch and go there till I figured out how many oz she was taking each feeding. It really helped regulate her schedule.
For the life of me I can't keep this new dish-washer empty. I've tried so hard to keep our house a house and not a baby apartment. But there is nothing you can do about this baby accessory.
This is a picture of a few things I just love about Brynlee. Please notice:
She has to stretch for about 15 minutes (including many facial expressions) before she graces me with her presence after each nap.
She refuses to bend her legs unless she is drunk from a feeding or passed out during a nap - toes are always flexed!
She blows bubbles the last 30 minutes of every nap.
She is always gassy after a nap and it scares her every time!
And this picture is priceless. I thought I knew everything there is to know before she came. I was going to be the best mom ever! And then she came......and sleep deprivation has thrown all my standards out the window.
Yes, she has a pacifier in her mouth at 3 weeks.
She is swaddled and in a vibrator chair to go to sleep.
The best part, I'm hiding from her with my hand patting her stomach.
After getting 4 hours of sleep in two days, I really could care less what Baby Wise or any other book says....I just want her to sleep!
Dev only has one more week! Finals are this week and if he doesn't pass out from stress and lack of sleep then we are going to have a new man on our hands in 6 days!!!! I'm so excited to have my husband back! Brynlee is excited too! And Dev can't wait to get the hardest semester in the hardest year of dental school over with. He studies for the boards the next week but that is only 8 to 5 and we are going home in only a few weeks too! We can't wait!
