First though, I had to post a picture of Mcall. It was a blast and I wanted to thank my parents for a fun getaway before the stress. As for the Beans.....you may have won the name game 3 times but we can out drive you on wave-runners any day! Kidding.
We are so fortunate to have such great friends and family that have made this move so fast and easy. Thanks to everyone for their help. We loaded up pretty fast in Rexburg and packed a 16 foot budget truck to the brim! No one believed we could fit it when it was all spread out on the grass...but thanks to Dev's mathematics (and I'm afraid, jamming...) abilities we fit!
We stayed the first night at Dev's Aunt Calli's in Denver. We stayed at a ghetto hotel in Kansas the second night and then at Dev's Aunt Nan's house in Cincinnati. This picture was taken after we had unloaded a lot of the cargo
Now for the before and after for our home makeover! We have been working tirelessly to finish painting the main floor and to get the kitchen done so we can move our furniture in, get out of boxes and stop eating fast food!!! This is the living room:
This is the dining room:
Sorry I don't have really good pictures and it is of different sides of the room but you get the picture. This is the entry:
And here is a picture of the kitchen before and at the present moment. We are down to the wall and have gutted out the whole thing.
It was a little over-whelming right when we moved in but now that it is painted and the kitchen will hopefully be down this weekend I feel so good about buying this house. It is perfect for us. It has been really fun working so hard together on something that we own and trying to make this 70's statement into our home. It definitely will take a LONG time to fix it up:
-Our bathroom is entirely bright blue...literally
-The spiders....I didn't know Heavenly Father could make spiders this big
And the list goes on but all of these little things you can fix. We got such a good deal on the house and Devin has done a great job at providing and spoiling me with all of this home decor. Buying lighting fixtures can't be on the top of his to do list here. So my conclusion to this entry is just that I'm busy, happy and content with the MAJOR decisions that we have made in the last few months. I miss everyone though.
P.S. Lowe's is now my favorite store. It is incredible. And in Pittsburgh you would never guess what store is right next to it....Michael's. Does it get better?
